How the retrofit installation works


  1. The Duro-Shield roofing system is applied over your existing metal deck with no tear-off required.
  2. The flutes are filled with insulation cut precisely to fit.
  3. A second layer of insulation is added to create a flat surface and increase the R value.
  4. A prefabricated membrane is mechanically attached to the deck.
  5. Prefabricated flashings for stacks and other penetrations are heat welded to create a single covering that forms a leak-proof seal.
